You're standing in one of Steglitz's oldest parks, Bäkepark. Established in the early 20th century, before Steglitz became part of Greater Berlin, this park spans about eight hectares, offering a serene escape. It was once called Haydnpark, reflecting its cultural roots. As you look around, you can find traces of the original woodland that existed here before the park was created. To the east, about 312 meters away, is the Wandervogel Memorial Stone, another local historical point of interest.
