Dorfkirche Heinersdorf

Right in front of you is the Heinersdorf Village Church, a remarkable piece of medieval architecture in Berlin. Imagine, the first stones of this Protestant house of worship were laid in the latter half of the 13th century. Enclosed by a protective wall and a small cemetery, the church exudes a serene dignity that has endured through the ages. Since the 1980s, it has been protected as an architectural heritage monument, one of over 50 village churches preserved in Berlin. As you look at the structure, you can almost feel the history that resonates from its walls. To your left, you can spot the old Heinersdorf Water Tower, just a short walk away.
