Guided Story

Imagine standing here nearly 200 years ago. Looking around, you’ll find the Hungerturm is more than just a scenic spot. It's a remnant of a time when an abbey stood proud in its place. To your left, beyond the trees, is the Zoopark. Back then, you would have found sprawling monastery gardens tended by Cistercian monks. As the sun sets and casts a golden glow over the city, imagine the monks gathering for evening prayers. And if you listen closely, you might even hear the distant chime of bells from St. Paulus Church to the southwest. It's a spot where history whispers to you.
