Here you are at the Kruppsee, a remarkable quarry lake covering 13.4 hectares. Originally known as Friemersheimer Baggerloch, this lake was formed through gravel extraction by the Krupp company. Look around and you'll notice the steeply sloping banks. The swimming area is clearly sectioned off with chains and buoys, providing a safe space for swimming. Beyond the swimming area lies a protected nature zone, partly under conservation. You might even spot the tree-covered island that adds a unique charm to the lake. This place beautifully merges recreation with nature.
