The Angermuseum in Erfurt, inaugurated on June 27, 1886, features an impressive collection of paintings, musical instruments, and sculptures. The museum is housed in a Baroque building constructed between 1706 and 1711, designed by Maximilian von Welsch. It originally functioned as the city's public weigh house.
