Standing here, you're looking at one of the most artistically crafted fountains in the Rhine Gardens of Koblenz. Created in 1928 by Carl Burger, the Wine Fountain was a highlight of the German Wine Exhibition, initially placed in front of the Rheinhalle, just about 100 meters northwest of here. After World War II, the central Grape Bearer sculpture found a temporary home in the Wine Village, and it wasn't until 2013 that the complete fountain was reassembled in this spot. The sculpture isn't just a piece of art—it's a testament to the rich viticultural tradition of the region.
