Once a prominent manor house, Haus Traar has been integral to the identity of Krefeld-Traar for centuries. Built by nobility in the mid-13th century, it remained under the Teutonic Order's ownership for about 500 years. Following secularization, it was used for farming and converted into residential spaces from 1992 onwards.
