Standing here, you're in front of a striking example of Gothic architecture. This church, part of the Marienberg Monastery, exudes a serene grandeur. From 1439 to 1802, it was home to the Regular Canonesses living by the Augustinian rule. Look up to see the distinctive pointed arches and windows that define the Gothic style. Since 1857, the monastery has been home to the Sisters of the Poor Child Jesus. Today, the Church of St. Mary's Birth serves multiple roles, including as a school church for the Archbishop's Girls' High School just a short walk north from here.
