Imagine standing here as a medieval guard, watching for intruders from this very tower. The Henkerturm was once part of Nuremberg's formidable defenses. Just behind you, a little lower, is the Henkersteg, a bridge that crosses the Pegnitz. It’s named after the city’s executioner who once lived nearby. A bit grim, but intriguing, don't you think?
