Since its opening on August 18, 1973, the Klingenhalle in Solingen has combined a sports hall and swimming pool. Between 2010 and 2011, the facility was extensively expanded to better serve sports enthusiasts. A notable event was hosting the German Three-Cushion Billiards Championship in 1974/75.
