The Alexianerkloster Aachen, first mentioned in records in 1391, is the motherhouse of the Alexian Brothers. The current complex includes the Clemensbau with St. Alexius Church and the Quirinusbau of the Alexian Hospital, built in 1929 to the designs of Wilhelm Pauen. It has been a protected architectural heritage monument in North Rhine-Westphalia since 1980.
