Guided Story
Imagine standing on ground that once hosted both festive celebrations and grim executions. Right here, where the Grashaus now stands, was the village green, known as the Gras. Look to your left, where people stroll today, burials of the executed took place. Now, look up — those gothic windows and stone facades whisper tales of power and pride from the past. Just a bit to the north, you'll find the Cathedral Treasury, adding further layers to the story of this area. Each building here has its own narrative, but the Grashaus was at the heart of medieval administration in Aachen. Isn't it amazing how much history is packed into these walls?
