Naturschutzgebiet Kaisbergaue

You're standing in the Kaisbergaue Nature Reserve, officially designated in 1994. Spanning 20.22 hectares, it's nestled in Hagen's Vorhalle district. As you look around, you'll notice the landscape stretching from the Ruhr River and Harkortsee to the north, bordered by agricultural fields to the south. One unique feature here is the railway line that runs through the area. As you walk, you might catch the gentle sound of the river, adding a serene touch to this spot. To the west, you'll find the Vorhalle sewage plant, part of the surroundings but not intruding on the natural experience here.
