Our Commitment
itemID is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, as referenced by the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the harmonized standard EN 301 549.
Measures Taken
We have taken the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Semantic HTML landmarks and heading hierarchy
- Skip-to-content navigation links
- Keyboard-accessible interactive components with focus indicators
- ARIA attributes for dynamic content and form validation
- Color contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA standards
- Reduced motion support for users who prefer less animation
- Meaningful alternative text for images
- Automated accessibility testing with axe-core
- Responsive design that supports text resizing up to 200%
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:
- User-uploaded images may lack descriptive alternative text
- Some third-party integrations (maps, payment processing) may not fully conform
- PDF label downloads are generated programmatically and may have limited screen reader support
