Alt Linzenshäuschen, originally known as 'Wachtturm Brandenberg', was built around 1410 and is now a protected architectural heritage site in North Rhine-Westphalia. Situated in the southern Aachen forest, it served as one of the eight watchtowers of the Aachen Empire and lies on an ancient Roman road, which later became the pilgrimage route from Eupen to Aachen. The name evolved to 'Linzenshäuschen' in the 16th century, reflecting the site's rich history.
