First mentioned in the 14th century, the Klostermühle Brandenburg served as a grain and oil mill for the Order of the Holy Cross. The stone buildings with bluestone walls and gabled roofs are now a protected architectural monument in North Rhine-Westphalia. After ceasing operations in 1926, they were listed as a heritage site in 1984.
