Holy Cross Catholic Church

In front of you is the Holy Cross Church, a striking late Gothic hall church. This site, an architectural heritage monument in Bavaria, was destroyed during World War II and later rebuilt in a simplified form. It was originally a pilgrimage church and part of the Augustinian Canons monastery. Today, it serves as a subsidiary church of the cathedral parish. Notably, it is associated with the Eucharistic miracle of 1194. Take a moment to appreciate the clean lines of its architecture, which, despite the simplified reconstruction, has not lost its historical significance. Just 19 meters to the southeast, you’ll find the Dominican Monastery Holy Cross.
