Guided Story
Imagine standing inside one of the old production halls of the Augsburg Worsted Spinning Mill. Look around—the high ceilings and expansive space tell tales of the past. Did you know that thousands of spindles whirred here simultaneously? Right here, in the 19th century, the finest yarns were spun and sent all over the world. Look up, and you can still see the massive steel beams supporting the roof. Klaus Kada transformed this space into a modern museum while preserving its industrial charm. Nearby, behind you, is the Kammgarn-Selimiye Mosque, reflecting the cultural shifts in the textile district. Let the history captivate you and discover how textiles are so intricately woven into our way of life.
