Biesenhorster Sand

Can you hear the rustling of the leaves? Listen closely, and you might catch the distant call of a rare bird. You're standing in one of Berlin's newest nature reserves, established in March 2021. Look to your left, past the trees, you'll find the allotment gardens. It's a green oasis for urban gardeners, harmonizing perfectly with the nature reserve. If you turn around, to the northwest, you'll see the Berlin-Karlshorst Museum, a place brimming with history. But out here, in the expanse of Biesenhorster Sand, time feels like it stands still. This landscape has remained largely unchanged for decades, preserving the echoes of the past while new stories unfold.
