Constructed between 1788 and 1791 at the behest of King Frederick William II, the Brandenburg Gate was designed by Carl Gotthard Langhans. This grand gateway marks the end of the Unter den Linden boulevard and is topped by the striking Quadriga sculpture. Once a symbol of division, it now stands as a monument to German history.
