This site, once known as the Funkamt Berlin-Köpenick, was a central hub for short and medium wave radio. Nestled in the forest between Berlin-Mahlsdorf and Berlin-Köpenick, it speaks of a bygone era when it was also referred to as the 'Sender Uhlenhorst.' Look a bit to the southwest, and you'll see Mast 2, a monument that stands as a reminder of this significant time. Further east, around 37 meters from here, you can find the remnants of the former transmitter, now resembling the character of a castle or manor. The dense trees around you whisper stories of the past waves that once radiated from this place.
