The statue of José Martí, crafted by artist Felix Madrigal Echemendía, was erected on January 25, 2013. Made from bronze and plastic, it commemorates the Cuban national hero José Julián Martí Pérez, who lived from 1853 to 1895. The inscription reads: 'With all and for the good of all'.
