Located in Berlin Mitte on Museum Island, Schloßplatz is defined by the reconstructed Berlin Palace to the north and the Spree River to the east. The square was restored between 2017 and 2023 in connection with the Humboldt Forum. Its historically significant surrounding buildings were removed in 1951, except for the New Stables.
