Designed by Gerhard August Fischer, the Liebfrauenkirche in Bochum-Linden was built between 1865 and 1866 and is recognized as a cultural monument. In 1901, architect Hilger Hertel Jr. expanded the structure, which has served as a spiritual hub since its consecration by Bishop Konrad Martin in 1866.
