Located in the Laer district of Bochum, Zeche Dannenbaum was a coal mine that started as a drift mine in the 18th century. Known until 1865 as Zeche Tannenbaum or Zeche Tannebaum, it also extracted iron ore at times. It was a founding member of the Rheinisch-Westfälisches Kohlen-Syndikat.
