Friedensplatz is centrally located in Bonn's city center and boasts a rich history. Originally situated outside the medieval Sterntor, it once served as a key livestock market. After the Sterntor was demolished, it was called Friedrichsplatz from 1899 to 1922 and renamed Adolf-Hitler-Platz during the Nazi era. Since 1945, it has been known again as Friedensplatz.
