The Konrad-Adenauer Bridge, locally known as the South Bridge, stretches 770 meters across the Rhine, connecting Bonn's southern district with Ramersdorf and Beuel. Designed by architect Gerd Lohmer, it opened on December 11, 1972. The bridge carries the A 562 highway, tram lines 66 and 68, and pedestrian and cycling paths on either side.
