Guided Story
Imagine standing where knights and dukes once rode. Look around you! Just a few steps southeast stands the Brunswick Lion, keeping watch over the square. Did you know it’s the oldest surviving large animal sculpture north of the Alps? Right behind you is Dankwarderode Castle, once the residence of Henry the Lion, one of the most powerful princes of the Middle Ages. If you turn south, you'll see the majestic walls of St. Blasius Cathedral, a place that witnessed coronations and power struggles. Can you feel the history in the air? It's where the past meets the present.
