Guided Story

You're standing at a site rich with history. Originally completed in 1904, the Fallersleber Tor Bridge was designed by architect Max Möller as a suspension girder bridge. This was a notable example of engineering from that era. Bridges have been documented here since the Middle Ages, highlighting the importance of this crossing over the Oker. Unfortunately, the historic bridge had to be demolished in 2009 due to structural issues. In its place now stands a modern reinforced concrete bridge, completed at the end of 2011. If you look to the north, just 99 meters away, you'll find the Botanical Garden, a peaceful retreat in the city.
