Can you feel the breeze up here? That's because you're standing at one of the highest points in Braunschweig. Look up and you'll see the Broitzem Telecommunications Tower, soaring to an impressive 154 meters. The tower's story began in 1971, with a significant height increase in the late '80s. Behind you, about 450 meters to the northeast, is the old water tower. Local tales say it once served as a landmark for postal carriages. As you gaze into the distance, imagine how the city has evolved over the years. Off in the distance, you might catch a glimpse of the Versöhnungskirche, built in a completely different architectural style. Visiting here in the early morning, as the city slowly awakens, is truly enchanting.
