As you stand here, you can almost feel the echoes of the past from the Schönebeck Wooden Church, built in 1964 as an emergency church. It served as a branch of the St. Magni parish and was part of the Bremen Protestant Church. The simple wooden structure reflects the modest yet dignified design typical of emergency churches from that era. On June 4, 2023, the church was officially decommissioned during a final service. If you look to your left, you might catch a glimpse of the Museum Schloss Schönebeck, about 440 meters to the north. This church stands as a quiet witness to a chapter now closed, part of the rich tapestry of this neighborhood's history.
