Can you hear the gentle rippling of the river? Here at the Kleine Wümme, it's easy to leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and immerse yourself in nature. Imagine fishermen once tying their boats here as the sun dipped below the horizon. Look to your left, where tall grasses sway and perhaps a heron stands patiently waiting for a catch. Walk a little further and you might spot a turtle basking on a rock. Close your eyes for a moment, and you can almost feel the history of this place, told through fields, water, and the wind. Enjoy the peace this little river offers and let nature envelop you. Just behind you to the west, you'll find the Wisent Memorial, another spot worth exploring in this lush landscape.
