Originally designed as a coal power station, it is operated by swb Erzeugung AG & Co. KG. Look around and you might spot the Medium-Calorific Power Plant, which has been operational here since 2009. Its steam cycle is integrated into the existing network of the Kraftwerk Hafen. To the southeast, about 916 meters away, you might catch a glimpse of the U-Boot-Bunker "Hornisse."
