The Stone Cross marks the execution of Bremen's Mayor Johann Vasmer in 1430. Erected in 1435, it is now a protected cultural heritage monument in Bremen's Mitte district. It is part of the Ensemble Beim Steinernen Kreuz and is the oldest monument in Bremen after the Roland.
