The Valentin submarine bunker in Bremen-Rekum is a remarkable remnant of World War II, constructed between 1943 and 1945. It was initially intended for the assembly of Type XXI submarines, a project that remained unfinished. Now a protected monument, it is managed by the State Agency for Civic Education.
