Founded in 1907 by Bremen innkeepers, the Union Brewery is now a protected cultural monument. Although it closed in 1968, it reopened in December 2015 with the addition of culinary offerings. The new operations are led by architect Lüder Kastens and Markus Zeller, former manager of Bremen's Beck & Co. Brewery.
