Guided Story
Look up and you'll see a gigantic dinosaur replica floating above you. Impressive, isn't it? Did you know this giant was inspired by one of the first fossils discovered right here in Chemnitz? Behind you is the Petrified Forest, another gem. Imagine, about 290 million years ago, this was a tropical forest, fossilized by a volcanic eruption. It's like time stood still for a moment. To your left is the Sterzeleanum, a small but fascinating historical cabinet that takes you on a time travel adventure. And if you listen closely, you might hear the buzz from the Insektarium. It's almost magical to see so many tiny creatures in one place.
