Since its establishment in 1964, Tierpark Chemnitz, also known as Tierpark Pelzmühle, has focused on the preservation of endangered species. Located on a 10-hectare area in the Reichenbrand district, it is home to around 1000 animals from about 200 species. Initially focused on the fauna of the former Soviet Union, it now prioritizes endangered species.
