The Residential Palace Darmstadt, also known as the Wissenschaftsschloss, served as the residence of the Landgraves and Grand Dukes of Hesse-Darmstadt. Constructed from 1716 under the direction of Louis Remy de la Fosse, the baroque four-wing complex was rebuilt by 1967 after its destruction in 1945. It now houses the Schlossmuseum, the German-Polish Institute, and parts of the Technical University of Darmstadt.
