The Mozartturm on Rheinstraße 111, built in 1936, is a protected air-raid and anti-aircraft bunker that tells a story of civil defense. Initially known as the Richthofenbunker, it once housed anti-aircraft guns defending the main train station and western city entrance. The tower features the Dietel design, an advancement of the 1937 patented Zombeck construction.
