The Memorial for the Persecution of Sinti and Roma in Darmstadt honors the memory of Sinti families persecuted by the Nazis. Located at the site of the former Brandgasse, it marks where many Sinti lived until March 1943, before being deported on March 15, 1943. Established in 1997, the stone memorial bears an inscription to remind us of this dark chapter.
