Guided Story
Can you feel the hum in the air? That’s the heartbeat of German railway history right in front of you. You're standing at the DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung Werk Dessau, where locomotives have been revitalized for over a century. Look to your left, and you can almost see the massive electric locomotives being guided into the workshops for maintenance and repairs. During World War II, this facility played a crucial role in keeping transportation lines open. Even though times have changed, the mission remains the same: keeping the trains running. Just a bit southeast is Dessau Süd, another key hub in the region. It's amazing how tradition and technical innovation converge here at this unique site.
