Guided Story
Imagine stepping back into the 18th century. The aristocracy is settling into their summer retreats, and here, at this very spot, Luisium Castle bursts into life. Look up at the graceful facades. The architect, Friedrich Wilhelm von Erdmannsdorff, infused this place with the elegance of classicism. To your left, the sprawling park awaits—a perfect sanctuary for Duchess Louise of Anhalt-Dessau, who spent her summers here. It's said she often wandered these gardens at dusk, a peaceful escape then as it is now. As you climb the steps, listen to the whispers of history and picture the vibrant life that once unfolded within these walls.
