This memorial stone commemorates the transport of nearly 1000 Jewish men, women, and children to Auschwitz on March 1, 1943. Erected in 1991, it is made of sandstone and inscribed with 'Earth, do not cover my blood!' (Job 16:18) in both German and Hebrew. It stands near the site from which the deportation began.
