This modest stone bears the inscription 'Kolonie/ Kirdorf/ erbaut/ 1912/1913', marking the origins of this mining settlement. The settlement was constructed by Gelsenkirchener Bergwerks-AG in the garden city style. It served as a residence for the workers and employees of the Minister Stein colliery, a significant part of Dortmund's industrial history.
