Built by the von Dellwig family, Haus Dellwig is a remarkable moated castle located in Dortmund's Lütgendortmund district. Originally the family seat until 1727, it later passed through various noble hands and the Gelsenkirchener Bergwerks-AG before being acquired by the city of Dortmund in 1978. The castle has been a protected architectural heritage monument since 1997.
