Dortmund's Rombergpark Botanical Garden is renowned for its impressive arboreta and extensive tree collections. Originally a landscape park, it was merged with an existing botanical garden in 1927, now covering 68 hectares. The entire park has been a protected monument since 2006, with approximately 4,500 tree species recorded in 2004.
