Guided Story
Look up. See that copper dome crowning the tower? It glistens beautifully in the evening light. Did you know this tower used to be a watchtower? From here, guards would keep an eye on the city and warn of any danger. Turn around now, and you'll spot the magnificent Cathedral Ss. Trinitatis just a short walk to the north. Imagine standing here 600 years ago: The guards are listening to the bustling city below while watching the Elbe River. And today? You enjoy the same view once reserved for the watchmen. At sunset, the entire scene is bathed in golden light – truly magical.
