Kino im Kasten, or KiK, is a unique student-operated university cinema located in the lecture hall building on August-Bebel-Straße 20. Since its inception in spring 1993, it has been run by dedicated students from the Technical University of Dresden and the University of Applied Sciences Dresden. Its name reflects the box-like architecture of the lecture hall.
