The Semperoper in Dresden, designed by renowned architect Gottfried Semper, was completed in 1878 in the Renaissance Revival style. Located in the historic city center at Theaterplatz, it is recognized as a heritage monument in Saxony. After its destruction in 1945, the opera house was faithfully reconstructed from 1977 to 1985.
